We are recruiting an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles. This is a hands-on role that combines routine maintenance with reactive breakdown work, offering variety and the opportunity to work with different vehicle types and systems. You will work as part of a small, supportive team in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and quality are equally valued.

Jedox Fleet Services is a family-run independent garage based in Livingston, West Lothian, specialising in the maintenance, repair, and breakdown support of cars and light commercial vehicles. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable, professional service to our customers whilst maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team.
What We're Looking For
A varied, hands-on role that blends routine maintenance with reactive breakdown work — different vehicle types, different systems, no two days the same.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing and routine maintenance on cars and light commercial vehicles (vans)
- Perform diagnostics and fault-finding to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Execute general mechanical repairs and some electrical work
- Manage a high volume of breakdown and reactive repair work, prioritising vehicle return to service
- Conduct pre-MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
- Perform fleet inspections and routine checks for corporate clients
- Work efficiently under time pressure to meet deadlines and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Ensure workshop safety standards are adhered to at all times
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years' proven experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic
- Demonstrated experience working with both cars and light commercial vehicles (vans)
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- MOT licence (desirable but not essential)

Proven hands-on experience with
Wet belt systems, AdBlue systems, Turbochargers - Solid understanding of vehicle electrical systems (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Own set of tools
- Flexible attitude towards working hours
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
